Our Story.
At the heart of Copper Glow Sauna is a love of people and nature and the timeless power of sauna to bring both together.
Growing up in the North East, some of my earliest memories involve my dad taking me to the local leisure centre. He would sneak me into the sauna for just five minutes after our swimming lesson, even though I was far too young as far as the rules were concerned. To him, the sauna was more than just a hot room. It was a place of connection, recovery and wellbeing. As a former professional gymnast in the army many years before he passed away, he wholeheartedly believed in the benefits of sauna for body and mind, especially for muscle recovery, and I often found him training and working out.
As I grew older and travelled the world, I found myself continually drawn to how different cultures bathe, cleanse and restore themselves, from the steamy bathhouses of Europe to the hot springs of Asia. No matter where I go, the sauna or its cultural equivalent is the place that I am most drawn to and fascinated by.
Copper Glow Sauna is my way of bringing the community together and giving people a lovely experience. It is a space for relaxation, for connection, and for honouring traditions old and new.
I cannot wait for you all to meet ‘Orna’, our wild sauna. It is a story built not only on a passion for sauna but also on love for our community. We are so glad you are here to be part of it.
